Day 7 – Wednesday, March 8 - Following St. Thérèse’ Little Way through Lent

Everyone loves earning Little Flowers!

Day 7 – Wednesday, March 8

Today we learn more about charity, love for others.  St. Thérèse reminds us that when we act in love it is JESUS who acts through us!  But the devil does not like it when we are good and he will try to tempt us by reminding us of what our sister or brother or friend has done wrong.  He does this to try to get us angry with them again.  Yet, we must face it and replace it!  If we are trying to do a loving thing and then we remember when that person was mean, we can stop and think ‘no! this is a child of God!’ and then quickly think of the good that person has done.  And always remember that people do many good deeds that we may never see!  Always err on the side of love!

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, please help us to love others and see their goodness!  Please come in our hearts and help us love as you loved.

St. Thérèse teaches us:
“I feel that when I am charitable it is Jesus alone who acts in me; the more I am united to Him the more do I love all my Sisters. If, when I desire to increase this love in my heart, the demon tries to set before my eyes the faults of one or other of the Sisters, I hasten to call to mind her virtues, her good desires; I say to myself that if I had seen her fall once, she may well have gained many victories which she conceals through humility; and that even what appears to me a fault may in truth be an act of virtue by reason of the intention.”  Story of A Soul, Chapter IX

Lord Jesus, we love you with our whole hearts.  Come live in our hearts and let your love shine through us!  Help us to love others generously and selflessly.

Our Father …
Hail Mary …
Glory Be …
