This Shizzle is Getting Real, y'all
Well, I don't think I've shared it here yet, but ...
I HAVE BEEN CHOSEN.
I am so honored, humbled, excited, giddy, ecstatic - out of over 500 women who applied, I was one of the twenty women chosen to be trained by Helen Alvare and Women Speak for Themselves to be WSFT media spokeswomen throughout our great country!!
I leave tomorrow for Washington, DC and have a full two days of training on Friday and Saturday! From tv training to radio to social media to writing to lobbying - everything you need to know about dealing with the media - and then some! Two focuses: Women's Issues and Religious Freedom.
And just a bonus benefit: I'm going by myself. As in, no kiddos - except for the baby balooga in my tummy. ;-) I will miss them and be so ready to see them all Sunday evening, but it will be a good time to refocus, rejuvenate, and revitalize. (Say a prayer for my five young sons and my amazing new feminist husband!!!)
I will be thinking of you all - feeling empowered to do more to champion the great cause of women in our society! We need real empowerment not ideological entrapment. Here we go!!
